Cancellation of auto insurance
You can always cancel car insurance at the end of the contract period. The notice period is one full month. Most contracts end at the end of the year on December 31. If this applies to your contract, the termination letter must be submitted to the auto insurance company no later than November 30.
In two cases, you can also terminate the contract with a special right of termination:
Premium Increase
Accident/Damage.
Here, the one-month notice period also applies. In addition, the specific reason for terminating the contract must be stated.
Changing your car insurance
You can switch to another insurer after your current policy expires, after a premium increase, and after the insurer settles the claim. What do I need to register?

The vehicle must be roadworthy for this purpose. This automatically applies to new vehicles. For used vehicles older than 3 years, a valid basic vehicle inspection (HU) is required as proof.

You will receive a license plate when you apply for automobile liability insurance for this vehicle. When applying, please specify the exact type of vehicle.
What does partial and full comprehensive insurance cover?
You need partial or full comprehensive insurance to cover damage to your own vehicle. Comprehensive insurance is voluntary. usually recommends partial comprehensive car insurance. Full comprehensive insurance is recommended for new cars and expensive used cars.
What does a no-claims class mean?
A no-claims class (SF class) exists separately for automobile liability and full comprehensive insurance.
SF classes reduce auto insurance costs. After each accident-free year of insurance, you get a better SF class. Your SF class is listed on your current premium bill.
